Final Draft PAIPO Statute

The current version of the PAIPO statute is the draft legal instrument for the establishment of the Pan African Intellectual Property Organization (PAIPO), developed by the AU-STRC. As mandated by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, following the decision (Assembly Council/AU/Dec.138(VIII)) by the Heads of States and Governments in Janunary 2007. The draft PAIPO statute was developed in consultation with stakeholders in AU Member States, ARIPO, OAPI and Collective Management Organisations with the support of WIPO.
